Hi Everyone! I’m Selene from Restoration Beauty and am so thrilled to be guest posting at Super Working Mum today! How cool is that? Very cool! Thank you, Aloted for the kind invitation!

Just so you know a little about me, I’m a gal who is married to her high school sweetheart and we share the joy of raising our 2 year old daughter together. I just ventured into the world of blogging in January and am so amazed by the awesome people I’ve come across! I’m passionate about anything beauty related, home decor and I love re-purposing things and making little projects out of them. A good DIY project really gets my heart going, so these are the things that I like to share on my blog. But the most important thing you can know about me is that I love God with all my heart, soul and strength and I give him all the glory for all the good things that have come my way!

With that said, I can now move on to what you came here for….a post!
10 Minute Face
If you’re a Mom who can dedicate 100% of your time to your family, please raise your hand. I really doubt anyone raised their hand on this one! Now, if you’re a Mom who has to juggle your time between family, your business, your job, appointments, house chores, friends, church, more appointments, hobbies and everything else, raise your hand. Wow, look at all those hands!

10 Minute Face Tips

It’s true, today’s woman is busier than ever, but that’s no reason to forget about ourselves and sacrifice looking fabulous. So today, I’d like to share with you my 10 Minute Face Tips. I will be showing you the 4 steps to achieving a flawless and fresh complexion without having to invest hours in front of the mirror! Because after all who has time for that? Not me!
Before you apply your makeup make sure your face is clean and moisturized. Here is my face wearing nothing but moisturizer. As you can see, there are a few problem areas that need to be addressed.
Now that your face is clean and supple, you can move on to…

The 4 Steps to a 10 Minute Face

1. Even Out & Set (4 minutes): the first thing you want to address is your complexion. Even it out by quickly applying foundation with your fingers- you can even make your own tinted moisturizer right on the spot for lighter coverage. Apply your concealer all around your eyes and to any imperfections you want to disguise. Quickly set everything with a powder so your makeup lasts longer through out your busy day.

2. Bring Life Back (1 minute): After all that covering up and setting, your face will look pale and very one dimensional. Bring some color back by quickly dusting some bronzer around your hairline, the hallows of your cheeks, the sides of your nose and around your jawline. Finally, apply your favorite blush to the apples of your cheeks. You’re halfway there!

3.  Open Up Your Peepers and Fill in Brows (4 minutes): If you want to save even more time and make this step a 2 minute process, you can skip the eyeshadow and just apply liner, mascara and fill in your brows. But if you want to add a bit of dimension to your eyes, choose a neutral shade (mine is bronze) and apply all over your lid blending it towards the crease. Apply a light shimmery eyeshadow to your tear duct area to open up your eyes and make you look more awake! Lastly, line lower lash line with the same eyeshadow you used on lids, apply mascara and fill in your brows.

4. Pucker Up! (1 minute): Apply your favorite lip gloss or lipstick and you will be one fabulous looking mama ready to go! In the picture below I applied a nude lip gloss, this is the perfect gloss for everyday life.

But, if you want to have a little more fun…

go for a bold lip color like this one! Every time I’m in a hurry to do my makeup, I always apply this type of color because it brightens up my complexion nicely and it looks like it took a bit more effort to do my makeup than it actually did! It’s my secret weapon!

Let’s take a look at the before & after:
I would say that’s a big difference for only investing 10 minutes out of my day, wouldn’t you?

Additional time saving tips

-If you are really, really in a hurry see how you can go from drab to fab in 5 minutes!

-Never skip the eyebrows! Never! They frame the face and create a nice focal point.
– Applying a light shimmery shadow to your lower lash line will make you look more awake and brighten up your eye area!
– To brighten up your complexion, use bright pink or coral blushes. They  instantly add a beautiful flush of color!

Taking 10 minutes out of your day to do a little something for you isn’t a waste of time. You will feel and look more confident as you go on to conquer your day!

Now, go show the world how beautiful, smart and strong you are with your 10 minute face! 🙂
